The V Family :: Chicago Family Portraiture

It was a great pleasure to photograph the V family at the Garfield Conservatory this past weekend. I love taking photographs at the conservatory, the amazing colors and scenery are a perfect backdrop to family photos. However, during this session I was faced with a new challenge. Two kids, a boy and a girl, one loves to pose and take photos and the other would have none of it. I was allowed to take photos, but only on his terms, I got a lot of his backside, top side … well all the wrong sides if you think in terms of “grandma’s favorite photo”. Well, little Mr. M, I took on your challenge and I won! This time around your parents and grandparents will have family photos that include you, even if it’s a Photoshopped you. I’m just kidding. Enjoy!

The biggest challenge during this session was to get both kids together, at last, success!

I think this photograph showcases M’s personality perfectly!

the PHOTO BOOTH

I’m so excited to announce a new service, the PHOTO BOOTH. The photo booth revolution is picking faster than anything and it’s only because it’s amazing, fun, and a great addition to your wedding, private party or a corporate event. The PHOTO BOOTH is designed to blend in and compliment your event while adding another level of entertainment for your guests. Not only will the PHOTO BOOTH experience will leave your guests with fun memories but also photos to take home!

This is not a traditional photo booth box with a curtain but rather an alternative experience with a professional photographer that will capture the images. This booth is like a mini-studio set up at your event where guests can get CRAZY and take some hilarious professional photos. A station including props, hats, wigs, etc. is available to enhance the experience of your guests and we can create an album of all the images captures!

This booth is something different, something new and fun for guests! In fact, guests and couples usually enjoy and appreciate the photos of guests from the PHOTO BOOTH more-so than traditional group shots and candids. So if shots of all your guests and loved ones having fun at your event is important to you, the PHOTO BOOTH is the best way to do it! The photos yielded are PRICELESS and will have you laughing for years.

Here are some examples that were taken this past Saturday at Kellogg’s Purple Tie Event:

And here are some additional fun samples! This crowd was SO much FUN!

Alexandra + Bagel :: Love Story

This is a story of Alexandra and Bagel, my close friends and awesome people to be around with. I was a part of their beautiful wedding this past October so I did not photograph their wedding. I did photograph their engagement session and made a love story video that debuted at their wedding! This was a multi-day production. We had several locations to go through and record. This was quite a big project in the making and I’m thrilled with the results. So without further ado, I would like to show you the wedding video, the Love Story and the “behind the scene images”!

This was one of the first scenes of our little music video. Unfortunately, when we got there it started pouring and we could not continue shooting. We came back a week later to get our canoe shots done!

so, we are doing our canoe scene and minding our own business when Sasha spots this super-cool old VW and of course it’s in her favorite color. The owner of this vintage car is one of the owners of the canoe place and he was happy to let us borrow it! score!

This was one of the last venues where we shot the music video, it also happens to be one of Sasha and Bagel’s favorite bars. Sasha owned that bar!
